- Lead Times vary by product, but most ladders ship within 5 Working Days.

Can my ladder ship UPS ?
- Some smaller ladders are eligible to ship via UPS. Refer to catalog for specific models.
What Freight Class do products ship ?
- In general:
Fully Assembled ladders ship at Freight Class 300
Unassembled ladders ship at Freight Class 150 - Call our Customer Service Department to confirm your specific request.
What will the freight cost be on my shipment ?
- Ballymore can provide a freight estimate based on our preferred carrier.
- Note: Costs are subject to change depending on fuel surcharges, special delivery requirements, etc. Ballymore will not be responsible for differences in freight estimates and actual freight costs.
What Freight Carrier will deliver my shipment ?
- If not specified on order, Ballymore will ship via ABF on a Prepaid & Add basis.
- ABF offers discounts and Freight Class Exceptions which are passed directly to the customer.
- Customers can choose their own carrier if they wish. Ballymore will advise if that particular carrier cannot pick up at our shipping location.
- YRC and Estes are two popular carriers that pick up at Ballymore every day.
What if my ladder arrives damaged ?
- It is VERY IMPORTANT that your shipment be inspected at time of receipt. If your ladder / lift arrives damaged, either refuse the shipment or sign for the ladder as "Damaged."
- If you fail to note the damage on the delivery receipt, the freight carrier may deny your claim.
Who files the freight claim if my ladder is damaged ?
- On Collect or 3rd Party Billing shipments, freight claims must be handled by the customer, including refused shipments.
- If the carrier was ABF (Prepaid & Add), Ballymore will file the freight claim.
- Either way, notify Ballymore immediately and we will help get the problem resolved.
What is concealed freight damage ?
- Concealed freight damage is damage that cannot be easily seen.
- Many Ballymore ladders ship in corrugated boxes. If you discover damage once you open the box, notify the freight carrier IMMEDIATELY and document the situation.
- Time is very critical in regards to a satisfactory resolution.
Can I return an undamaged ladder, work platform or lift ?
- In most cases, Yes. Written factory permission must be received prior to return.
- Returns must be in good condition and made within 30 days of the original shipment, with freight prepaid. There is a restocking charge of 20% to 25% on standard items, 50% on aluminum and stainless.
- Non-Refundable Items include Custom or Modified ladders, Work Platforms, Crossovers, and Modified or Custom Lifts.
Shipping Ladders Fully Assembled vs. Unassembled ?
- Most steel and stainless ladders ship unassembled (knocked-down) in order to lower freight costs and reduce risk of freight damage. Detailed Assembly Instructions allow for easy assembly.
- Fully assembled ladders are available up through 12 steps (specify SU after model number).
- Aluminum Ladders are all-welded one piece construction.
Packaging : Should I get the optional boxing when ordering my ladder ?
- The optional heavy corrugated boxing is available on most unassembled ladders up through 12 steps and is highly recommended. It’s proven to greatly reduce the risk of freight damage.
- Ladders 13 Steps and above ship on skids.
